The Regional Day of Remembrance and Commitment in Remembrance of the Innocent Mafia Victims is a didactic-educational project, carried out by the Veneto Region and by Public Notice, in collaboration with Libera Veneto, reserved for upper secondary schools.
Each year, 14 secondary education institutions of the Veneto region, each participate with 2 classes in a five-month course, divided into two meetings, the aim of which is to deepen the knowledge of the mafia phenomenon, the methods of penetration and of action in the Veneto area, the behaviors that citizens can implement to prevent and combat organized crime and corruption.
The project, launched in 2016, ends each year with the celebration of the Regional Day of Remembrance and commitment in memory of the innocent victims of all mafias, during which the works carried out by schools are presented.
The full registration of the Days together with all the works carried out by the students are visible through the APP.
In 2022, a Podcast series was also created, entitled "Stories of Mafia Victims", which tells the stories of the four innocent victims of the mafia in Veneto through the voice of relatives, friends, loved ones who have transformed a personal tragedy into something new and important to the community.
