Steel Sections Profile Profiles in Steel was conceived and developed by the Steel Promotion Foundation.
It is a great satisfaction for the Foundation to make this important practical and fast aid tool available to all operators in the construction sector for the structural design of metal carpentry works.
Tested by leading companies that develop executive projects, architectural design studios and structural engineers, it collects a complete profile to date of 7,000 steel profiles regarding the following products:
Sheet metal
"I" and "H" beams
"U" and "T" profiles
Angles with equal and unequal sides
Hot-finished and cold-formed circular tubes
Hot-finished and cold-formed square tubes
Hot-finished and cold-formed rectangular tubes
Future implementations will concern additional products.
The App includes the following features:
Search for profiles and consultation of geometric data by category
Quick search using the "search" function
Advanced search by parameters, up to 4 filters
Calculation of mass and surface area per unit of length
Calculation of the "critical load" of the rods
Calculation of the "design resistances" of the sections
Calculation of stresses and strains of isostatic and hyperstatic beams
"Favorites" section where you can save up to 50 profiles
"Compare" function to compare the characteristics of different profiles
Check sheet metal through thickness
