Run this app named Visual Navigation in VR using MyAndroid.
You can do it using our Android online emulator.
* Requires Google Cardboard and compatible viewer.
For testing human spatial navigation.
Subjects stand and rotate in place, attempting to rotate one full revolution (360 degrees) with optic flow and landmarks as separate spatial cues.
Comprises four scenes under the following cue conditions: 1) optic flow; 2) optic flow with drift; 3) landmark; 4) landmark that shifts location.
Provides angular and linear errors for each scene.
Requires a minimum of 3 by 3 feet of open floor space.
This project was a collaboration with the University of Cincinnati Biological Sciences "Biology Meets Engineering" program supported by the National Science Foundation Division of Research on Learning Award #1759150 (PI: Rollman).
