The system consists of an Android App and Smartphone a Raspberry Pi 3B+/4B a Neopixel 4String and a WLAN router over which the commonication between Smartphone and Raspberry Pi is made possible.
The Raspberry Pi and Smartphone are both connected to the WLAN router.
The Smartphone is communicating with the Raspberry Pi over the router.
The Raspberry Pi and the Smartphones need to be locked to the same WLAN router.
Although the App is freely available the system including the Neopixel GamebBoard, SD Card, Power Supply and Raspberry Pi control cable are available on Ebay.
The Raspberry Pi is applied as server and can handle more than one smartphone.
A Raspberry Pi 3B+ or 4B with a display and its power supply are required.
The program was tested with a Raspberry Pi 3B+ 1GB device and a 4B 2GB device.
Several python programs are available including a server, game, data, and a display program.
A 16GB SD Card with the existing Python modules is supplied.
A HDMI Monitor or a TFT Touchscreen Monitor should be connected to the Raspberry Pi.
The monitor displays actions to be taken during the game.
One or more Android Smartphones or Tablets are used as play console.
The Android App is presented in English.
Four Games and one LED Lightshow are available on the Android App.
The App is anticipated for an Android Smartphone with a display size of at least 5" and conistst of 5 applications.
A3Solo is a dice play and is played with one Smartphone only.
A3Slide is a dice play and can be played with up to 4 Smartphones.
A3Multi is a dice play and can be played with up to 4 Smartphones.
A3Matic is a dice play and can be played with up to 4 Smartphones.
A3Show ist a LED LightShow.
The Neopixel GameBoard contains 80 WS2812b Leds.
These programmable Leds are mounted on a PCB.
ThePCB contain a driver circuit, reverse voltage protection and connectors for connecting the Power Supply and Interconnecting cable to the Raspberry Pi.
In the main application one can choose betweenn one 5 application.
The next application the user has to choose between captain and player.
Each game uses only one captain and several players.
The captain takes control of the game and informs the Raspberry Pi on the number of players involved and their corresponding colors.
The colors Red, Green, Blue and Magenta are shown by the programmable Led.
The Raspberry Pi WLAN IP address needs to be inserted while its Port number is constant.
One of 5 Image shows have to be chosen from, which then are displayed on the raspberry Pi monitor.
After having supplied this information one enters the game.
In A3Solo each participant presses the dice button once each round.
The smartphone is reached around as playing console.
Each dice press is communicated to the Raspberry Pi and the accumulated value is shown on theGameBoard by colored Led.
In A3Slide up to 4 players may participate.
Each player is represented by color on one of the 4 Strings.
In this game 4 traps need to be passed.
Each trap deducts ten points.
In A3Multi up to 4 players may participate.
It is a 2 shuttle collision game Each player may use 2 shuttle to drive along the circuit till the end.
Each collision will result a reurn to the start.
In A3Matic up to 4 players may participate.
In this game the dice value of each player may be added to his own account or subtracted from the opponents account.
A3Show is a Led Lightshow.
Different modes are available ranging from rainbow coloring to sequential color changes.
Each mode runs for approx.
1 minute, while the last mode runs alls modes continously.
