The Mission of UOURK is to provide the underserved and the uninformed teenage and young adult population with information and skills that could increase their mindfulness and earning power and help foster independence.
Founded in July, 2022, UOURK is a Virtual Community Center that caters to kids 13-18 and young adults 19-25 by giving them access to qualified, competent and committed Volunteer Mentors, Therapists, Certified Teachers, Artists, Business Owners for guidance in their particular specialty.
UOURK will provide courses in:
Financial literacy
budgeting/ banking
credit sense
Microsoft Office
resume preparation
1st time home buying
mindfulness & meditation
typing
meal preparation
exercise/workout
There will also be information and guidance on resume preparation & how to access high paying blue collar jobs, some of which only require a High School Diploma.
UOURK understands the significance of the new Decentralized Economy and will also have courses on what is decentralization, blockchain, crypto, NFT and tokenization.
UOURK has started a dialogue with The American Legion to explore possibilities of youth 13-18 being able to use their facilities for youth parties on weekends.
These parties could be held late afternoon on Saturdays, and Legionnaires present will have a unique opportunity for intergenerational bonding.
As the organization matures and based on reserves, volunteers could become paid employees, with Therapists being the first paid.
UOURK has a grand vision of writing a White Paper and building a Web 3.0 platform where anyone that wants to can have an Avatar and UOURK becomes a token.
UOURK believes that the perceived disengagement from the Avatar will be an effective resource, especially in the youth population and would significantly increase the results of therapy.
