Our scientists have discovered that people who use GrowMotif are less likely to have C-sections and have fewer preterm and low birthweight deliveries.
GrowMotif also reduces rates of admission to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) after birth.
What does GrowMotif do?
Pregnant people who use the app will complete a series of brief, highly engaging childbirth preparation modules on their mobile devices.
Within each module, users receive friendly, helpful, and down-to-earth prompts that help users engage in healthy prenatal activities that align with users core personal values, including engagement in key public health programs.
Personalized follow-up notifications boost users motivation to follow through with scheduled healthy activities by providing reminders of what users value for their growing baby and their upcoming birth.

GrowMotif works by creating activation in the parts of the brain that drive motivation when you think about healthy actions.
GrowMotif will help you learn how your most deeply-felt core values are connected to the actions you will take to keep yourself and your baby healthy, such as your regular doctor visits.
GrowMotif also helps transform stress into a force that motivates you to become your best self.
Can anyone use GrowMotif?
The GrowMotif app is still in development.
At this stage, GrowMotif is offered only to people who are connected to our partner organizations, such as healthcare providers or insurance companies.
We plan to offer GrowMotif directly to pregnant people at a later time.
