WHY MAKE A CALL OF 1 OR MORE MINUTES?
* First to save phone call credit if it is limited!
* Then to save time (or at least master it), because for example it's faster to talk to each other for a minute than to exchange several messages, right?
* Then to succeed in reaching people who would be unreachable if they were not warned that we would only "disturb" them for ONE MINUTE! As in the expression "can I talk to you for just a minute?" to which we almost always answer yes!
* But also for fun, because it's fun to hang up after a minute (or more) while listening to music! But even funnier if it allows you to have a "Neither yes nor no" for example!
* Finally, to make a gesture for the planet, because we reduce telephone time and also social network time, so we save CO2 (see below for the calculation of CO2).
HOW TO MAKE A QUICK CALL?
* Preamble: it's a classic phone call (GSM), so you can call any contact or even a number via the keyboard!
* You configure if you want to end with progressive but endless music (called the "Talksin") or if you prefer that it stops after 15 seconds.
* You choose a contact from your phone contacts.
* You can directly click on the call button, and thus call for the duration indicated under the button, or possibly choose another call duration by clicking twice on the call button.
The chosen duration will then be kept as the default one for this contact.
* During the call, you earn 1 point per second of call (note: you must return to TalkTime during the call for the timer to run correctly without being interrupted by the system).
* At the end of the chosen duration minus 15 seconds, a notification warns you that there are 15 seconds left before the end of the call, and you will start to lose 1 point per second beyond the chosen duration.
* Music starts upon notification.
It is only audible to you, because the sound is played on your phone by TalkTime, for reasons of discretion, in particular not to disturb the person who is called and who has not asked to hear the music.
But nothing prevents you from humming at the same time : )
* You hang up, (via the direct hang-up button on Android), and you can see how many points you have earned as well as the estimated time and CO2 saved.
The calculation is explained right after.
WHAT ARE THE POINTS (TALKENS) FOR?
* They are already used to have fun by measuring our score against others!
* You can choose to extend the duration of a call according to your score displayed at the top right, by adding "points + grams of CO2" (for example, at 10000 you can already go to 1 minute longer!) .
* But eventually in a future version, they can be used to obtain options, such as extending the default call duration further, or choosing end-of-call music : )
