This free android application displays all the Personal Names mentioned in THE HOLY BIBLE.
All Personal Names found in the Bible are sorted in a variety of orders and presented as an Index List with frequency of each name.
Upon selecting a specific NAME from the index list, the Verses containing that NAME with reference are listed in an easy readable format.
In addition, all the 31,102 Bible Verses are listed as A LONG SCROLL for ease of reference and seamless reading.
The is a novel attempt to enumerate all Personal Names mentioned in the Holy Bible.
Owing to the peculiar way of representing proper nouns (Places and Names) in both Old and New Testaments, a conventional word-search would not deliver any reliable outcome.
Therefore, the Names are hand-picked from each and every verse and arranged in a dictionary style.
Use of spreadsheet database and data-mining techniques are used extensively to ensure accuracy as far as possible.
Apart from King James Version (KJV Bible), few other recent versions (NIV, Good News, BSI) and translations (Malayalam Bible, Orthodox, Marthoma, Roman Catholic, P O C, Sathyavedapusthakam, etc.) are also used for interpreting doubtful names.

Names play a variety of roles in the Bible.
Some personal names are interchangeably used as name of places and vice versa.
Therefore, the list includes both usages - Name of persons and places.

are some prominent examples.
Some names which repeats multiple times in a single verse are not counted separately.
Therefore, the frequency of names mentioned is the total number of verses containing a particular name and NOT the number of times a particular name-text appears in the entire Bible.
Accordingly, all Personal Names mined out of the Bible are listed with their frequency of occurrence and presented as an INDEX LIST in the following order:
(1)NAMES IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER (A to Z listing)
(2)MOST MENTIONED NAMES (List of names mentioned more times in ascending order)
(3)FIRST COME FIRST (List of names in their order of first appearance in the Bible)
(4)LONGEST NAMES (List of names with more number of letters in descending order)
Upon selecting a specific NAME from the index list, the containing verses will be listed in the order of appearance in each book/chapter.
A name-search utility is included for sorting and quick selection.
This facility may be used for finding rhyming names also.
In addition to the above BIBLE VERSES IN A SCROLL presents the entire Bible (King James Version) verses in a long scroll.

However a vertical navigation scroll bar is intentionally not provided to remind us of the great difficulties faced by our ancestors in finding a specific verse from a long scroll of papyrus parchments.
