Formerly known as 'Whatsupdoc', this app was initiated in 2017 and developed by residents for residents in collaboration with SingHealth Residency's CRAFT EduTech with funding from the SingHealth Duke-NUS Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBGYN) ACP Education Grant.
Whatsupdoc was developed to provide quick and convenient clinical information for junior doctors at work.
The current content is OBGYN-based, but through the adoption of a modern mobile architectures has the potential to be scalable and adapted for usage by other specialties.
The concept of Whatsupdoc and its development process was published in The Asia-Pacific Scholar, and presented internationally at AMEE Basel, Switzerland in 2018 and at FIGO in Brazil 2018.
Over time, Whatsupdoc naturally progressed to 'AM Buddy' with the aim of improving access to evidence-based clinical guidance relevant to our SingHealth Academic Medicine (AM) community, starting with OBGYN as the Minimal Viable Product (MVP).
AM Buddy is co-funded and developed collaboratively by the SingHealth Duke-NUS OBGYN ACP and SingHealth Research & Education (R&E) CIO Office.
