Jobs Wira app connects our job providing customers to our job seeking contractors through the internet.
Both customers and contractors must register into our database for the online connection to be possible.
Customers have jobs they want done.
Examples of such jobs are plumbing, hairdressing, carpentry, masonry, motor vehicle repair, etc.
Each contractor must register within a profession and trade e.g., construction and mason.
They must provide evidence that they are competent to perform the jobs within the profession and trade that they registered with.
They must also provide evidence of good conduct.
A customer initiates the job request giving the minimum and maximum distances from the job site within which the app should search for contractors.
Once a contractor is identified, the app sends a message to the customer and a notification to the contractor.
The contractor can either accept or reject the job.
The customer is free to contact us if the contractor appears to take long to commit.
If the contactor rejects the job, the job is put in the queue of jobs awaiting assignment and are available for other matching contractors to pick.
The queue system uses a first in first out method.
If a contractor accepts the job, a notification is sent to the customer.
The contractor can also SMS or call the customer.
The app uses google maps to indicate the job location to the contractor.
The app keeps track of the job status and fully performs the project management function.
The user does not need to keep a separate project management system.
The contractor gives a list of materials, the place where they can be sourced and their expected prices to the customer.
Both the customer and the contractor discuss the labour cost which is then sent via the app.
The system then moderates the quotation taking into account the submitted cost, the town where the job is located, and the costs of similar jobs charged to previous customers.
The final quotation is then sent to both the customer and the contractor.
The customer can decline the quotation, in which case they are charged transportation cost and connection fees.
