Sufism as one of the fields in Islamic studies is very important and interesting to study.
Basically the purpose of Sufism is in the context of wushul (up to) Allah SWT.
In this case the Sufis have a very important role in delivering the journey to Allah SWT.
In the process of this journey, the Sufis created a concept called maqamat.
These concepts are based on the instructions in the Qur'an.
The Sufis tried and attempted to reveal and explain this concept so that in the future, works of Sufi-style interpretation were born.
Famous Sufi figures include Imam Qusyairi and Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani.
These two figures are no longer foreign to our ears, because so many works have been made and have become phenomenal, including the book of interpretations of Lataif Signal or better known as the interpretation of al-Qusyairi and the book of interpretation of al-Jailani.
This book attempts to explain the methodology of interpreting the two commentaries and how the interpretations of al-Qusyairi and Al-Jilani in their book of interpretations regarding the concept of maqamat tasawuf which has been agreed upon by Sufism scholars such as repentance, zuhud, wara', indigent, patient, tawakka1 and Ridha.
