Ridgecrest Baptist Church began as a vision in the hearts of the Mission's Committee of Dothan's First Baptist Church.
 In 1951, RBC began when a prayer meeting was conducted in the home of James and Mary Morrison.
The first meeting place for Bible Study and Worship was in a store building on South Cherokee Avenue and by 1953, the first service was held in a new building on Fortner Street.

 Ridgecrest is a large family made up of people from all different walks of life that have come together to worship and serve Jesus Christ.
