The project started to support families at home throughout the COVID Pandemic.
The lockdowns had created uncertainty and it was important for our tamaiti to experience a familiar routine at Tino e Tasi of mat time, with a collection of beautiful songs that encourages the Samoan language in their own home.

With the support of the Pacific Education Innovation Fund, the tamaiti of Tino e Tasi Preschool gained the experience of singing and recording beloved pese performed every day at Tino e Tasi Preschool to share and showcase Gagana Samoa with the world in the digital space.
The Pacific Education Innovation Fund specifically targets innovative practices that support Pacific learners wellbeing and curriculum needs, which have been affected by COVID-19, including in Pacific bilingual and immersion education.
