Use the free iCrowd App to create and join a remote audience for any type of event which you cannot attend in person.
Users who have joined the event on the app use sound buttons to add sounds -- applause, boos, groans and sounds defined by the host and the user -- to a virtual crowd sound formed by combining the inputs from all users.
The inputs from all users are transmitted to the cloud and combined to form an aggregate crowd sound which then plays on each user's phone.
Each user hears the sounds of the remote crowd -- all of the applause, boos, groans and other sounds -- created by combining the contributions of every user.
In addition, the app provides users who have joined an event with a chat feature for just that event.
Any user can use the app or a related web interface to create events and invite others.
The host can use the app to invite others to the event by emailing or texting a link.
The app also creates a QR code for each event, which others can scan to join the event.
The QR codes can be printed on invitations or signs or added to Video calls or broadcasts of the event, so users can join the remote audience simply by scanning the QR code off the screen.
