Sir Songs influence leaves an indelible mark on CJs life and values.
CJ marries the love of his life, Pradap Kow, a teacher.
After Pradap dies, CJ faces a lonely life.
Thankfully, he meets Ong Tiong Tat, a big-hearted stock trader, at a food centre they both frequented for char kway teow.
The two hit it off and become best friends, despite a 38-year age gap.
When CJ becomes bedridden after a stroke, Tiong Tat moves into CJs house and cares for him selflessly.
And thats when Tiong Tat gets to know and falls in love with Irene Tan, another kind and generous soul.
For his 96th birthday, CJ makes various gifts to schools, educational institutions, womens charities, childrens homes and nursing homes to help uplift the lives of the underprivileged.
These donations initiate a legacy of giving that is passed to Tiong Tat, Irene and HH Tan, Irenes nephew who is carrying on the legacy today.
