Channa fish itself is commonly found around India, Afghanistan, China, Serbia and of course in Indonesian regions such as Java.

Their natural habitat in the wild is usually in rivers or puddles that have lots of plants, much like the habitat of betta fish.
Therefore, channa fish have a high tolerance for environments with low oxygen conditions and also unfavorable or dirty water conditions.
No wonder so many people often misuse this information and allow Channa fish to live in unfavorable aquarium conditions.
