Freedom Call is a Peer to Peer, End To End encrypted calling application.
The framework for this application uses WebRTC and WebCall.
Users can setup and maintain their own servers as well.

If both parties to the call are on a local network or directly routable, the application will route the content directly.
NAT traversal and NAT piercing works well but in the event that the two clients are not able to establish a P2P connection the connection will show a "relay/p2p" text indicator.
In order for the call to be successful the clients then use a TURN server hosted by the app developer.
We recommend that users also use our Freedom VPN application as well if you are concerned about packet inspection, all though traditional packet inspection will not be able to break the encryption used, it can be used to locate both ends of the conversation.
For Instance, if our TURN server was to be monitored at the data link level (OSI 1-3), an analyst may be able to conclude user's IP addresses and use that information to geo locate or pursue additional methods using that information.
Even if several hundred people are using the same signaling server or TURN server concurrently, a mediocre analyst would be able to use packet timing to create call maps.
For that reason, for increased security, it is best to mix your traffic with something like a VPN server with multiple (100+) users.
