The usual treatment to treat this pain are analgesics such as those that are going to be studied in this Clinical Trial, dexketoprofen and tramadol, both authorized for this purpose for many years.
It is known that genetic variability can influence the effect produced by some drugs, both in the form of a decrease and an increase in their effect, which can translate into a loss of efficacy or a greater probability of the appearance of adverse effects.
The objective of this study is to assess whether the implementation of pharmacogenetics (measurement of this genetic variability in response to drugs) in clinical practice can help improve the treatment of acute pain, increasing efficacy and reducing adverse reactions.
If the existence of a concordance between genetic variations and the response to these drugs is confirmed, in the future tools could be developed to help choose the most appropriate treatment for pain in each patient.
