Nowadays, most stand-alone multi-storey apartment buildings in Hong Kong and Macau already compliance with Government's policy to setup different kinds of resident association, like owners' corporations, mutual aid committees, owners' commitee, etc.
to participate in building management.
Yet, there are a lot of affairs within a building, such as residents' meeting, elevator maintenance, fire extinguisher regular inspection, etc.
And those information are disseminated to residents by posting notices, delivering letters, and even through word of mouth from janitor.
However, most of the time, residents tend to forget, miss and ignore what have been told.
Also, by using these methods, urgent information (such as elevator stopped service, no water supply, etc) is difficult to reach residents on time.
Moreover, information such as building equipments status, expiry, maintenance, etc.
is always hard to retrieve by residents.
As as result, we develop "ResBuilding" to assist management and information dissemination for stand-alone multi-storey apartment buildings.
The system provides basic building management functions with an application server running on a commercial cloud service located in Hong Kong, together with the "ResBuilding" mobile app to connect and interact with the remote services, and to receive push notification.
Through this, we hope to encourage all residents to manage their building together.
Different types of user accounts have different system usage permissions.
According to user's role in the building, account types can be categorized into "resident", "staff" and "building management", and the usage of these types are summarized as below:
