About this app
Workbooks is a question book creation and learning application that uses a brain science-based algorithm to support long-term memory retention.
Workbooks is designed to maximize learning with minimal effort by notifying you of questions to review at the optimum time, and supports your learning with unique Workbooks features such as a to-do function and visualization of retention rates.
Concept
Human memory starts with short-term memories that are retained for less than a minute, and the more repeatedly they are recalled, the longer they are retained.
In neuroscience, this is called rehearsal, which prevents memory forgetting and transfers memories from short-term storage areas to long-term memory.
Even after the memory has become a long-term memory, it can be recalled many more times to make the retention period longer.
Therefore, this application records your learning history, and based on that information, it assists you in consolidating what you want to remember into your long-term memory by repeatedly asking you questions at the appropriate times.
Please exclude from the questions those that you have memorized once or those that are easy and do not need to be memorized.
By eliminating the study time for already acquired knowledge and repeating only what is truly necessary, the maximum effect is achieved in a limited amount of time.

Memorization Level (MLv) and ToDo
Workbooks will periodically remind you of the questions you have already answered in the form of ToDos based on the preset intervals, and encourage you to answer them.
As you answer more questions correctly, the level of the workbook increases, and the interval between questions also increases.
By doing the ToDos and learning repeatedly, your brain will naturally retain the answers.
Proficiency
Proficiency is a measure of one's mastery of a question, and is indicated on the app as 1 to 5 stars.
Proficiency is based on self-assessment and can be decreased or increased freely on the answer screen.
Workbooks will give priority to questions with low proficiency.
Marking
You can mark questions that you particularly want to study over and over again.
By using the "Start from marked questions" mode, you can enhance the effectiveness of your learning.
Check function
Keep unchecking questions that you think you have completely memorized.
By spending less time questions that you have already mastered and more time learning new question, you will learn more efficiently.
